Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the docInsured platform at app.docinsured.com (the “Service”), operated by Magna & Magna, Inc. (“docInsured”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

Initial release. Material updates to these Terms are announced at least 30 days in advance via email to all account holders.

Not a licensed insurance broker. docInsured is a software platform. We are not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or producer in any jurisdiction, and we do not bind, place, or renew insurance coverage. Compliance status, AI-extracted values, and any other information shown by the Service are informational only and are not legal, regulatory, or insurance advice. Decisions about whether a Certificate of Insurance is sufficient for your purposes — and any reliance on coverage represented therein — remain with you and your qualified advisors.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the organization you represent (Certificate Holder, Insured, or Broker) to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

2. Description of the Service

docInsured helps Certificate Holders request Certificates of Insurance from their vendors, helps Insureds fulfill those requests by uploading documents, and helps Brokers route or generate certificates on behalf of Insureds. The Service includes structured compliance review, automated extraction of certificate data, and notifications.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload material you do not have the right to upload.
• Upload malware, exploits, or other code intended to damage the Service or its users.
• Attempt to access data belonging to organizations other than your own.
• Resell or rebrand the Service without written agreement.
• Probe, scan, or rate-limit-bypass the public fulfillment endpoints.

4. Subscriptions & Fees

Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, prices, and trial periods are presented at sign-up and at the billing screen. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date through your account's billing portal.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to information and documents you submit (“Your Content”). You grant docInsured a limited license to store, transmit, and process Your Content solely as necessary to operate the Service for you and your counterparties (e.g., showing an Insured's certificate to the Holder that requested it).

6. AI-Assisted Extraction

The Service uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic) to extract structured data from uploaded certificates. AI extraction is provided as a convenience; you are responsible for reviewing the extracted data before submitting. docInsured does not warrant the accuracy of AI-extracted values.

7. Privacy

Use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. docInsured does not guarantee the accuracy of any compliance status, AI-extracted value, or document rendering produced by the Service. Decisions about whether a Certificate of Insurance meets your requirements remain your responsibility.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, docInsured's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid docInsured in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or for prolonged inactivity. Upon termination we may retain backups for a reasonable period as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
